2020 - 2022

  • Restored, repaired, and refinished projects ranging from musical instruments to kitchen sets, antique furniture, and horse-drawn carriages

  • Self-motivated and innovative in determining unique solutions to each project that came in for repairs

Etsy Store Owner

2019 - 2021

  • Developed and innovated new products, including crushed stone inlays, carvings, woodworking templates, and custom frames

  • Purchased a laser cutter and effectively self-taught use of software and hardware upgrades to enable elements of mass-production

Luthier Apprentice

2017 - 2021

  • Built first violin in the space of 5 months, where a typical violin-making school curriculum will typically take 1 year

  • Exceeded typical training to build a Norwegian Hardanger fiddle with mother-of-pearl inlay

  • Experimented with and created my own varnish recipes

  • Built upon the standard workshop skills to also learn inlay, gold leafing, chip carving, and hand tool construction

  • Designed and built wood projects ranging from a hand-carved cabinet to toys and ornaments

  • Constructed and installed custom kitchen cabinetry in homes

  • Used 3 years of high school woodshop experience to safely operate all standard workshop tools and equipment (saws, planers, sanders, finishing, hand tools)

  • Remodeled homes and cabins intermittently during high school and college years

  • Skills include drywall, electrical, window and door installation, siding, framing, painting, wood flooring, deck building, roofing, kitchen and bathroom cabinetry

  • Learned all standard production-level workshop skills

  • Competed in SkillsUSA Technical Math competitions (Utah 2nd place 2009, Utah 1st place 2010, National 5th place 2010)

  • Offered Sterling Scholar in Trade and Technical Education, 2010
